The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam was founded 1988 in order to stimulate the national and international documentary culture. Since its foundation IDFA has become the largest documentary film festival in the world. Every year since 1988, more than 250 international documentaries are screened for a huge number of film lovers and professionals. The festival is an exciting meeting place for directors, producers, buyers, financiers and audiences alike.
